Hulk is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 in 1962. The Hulk is the alter ego of Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist who was exposed to gamma radiation which caused him to transform into a monstrous green-skinned being whenever he gets angry or emotional. The Hulk possesses immense physical strength and durability, and is often portrayed as one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe. Despite his destructive tendencies, the Hulk is a heroic character who fights to protect the innocent and save the world from threats.
