Pluto is a dwarf planet located at the edge of our solar system, orbiting the Sun in a region called the Kuiper Belt. It was discovered in 1930 and was considered the ninth planet in our solar system until 2006, when it was reclassified as a dwarf planet due to its small size and irregular orbit. Pluto is named after the Roman god of the underworld and has a surface covered in icy mountains, glaciers, and nitrogen and methane ice.
